Samuel Maverick Barrel Aged Rum is made with imported Colombian Panela, a raw cane sugar created by boiling and evaporating cane juice, which is then blended with molasses and fermented before distillation in a copper pot still. Prior to bottling, it is charcoal filtered to achieve a smooth and round mouthfeel, while retaining the original character of the Panela sugar. It gets its unique flavor from aging the white rum for three years and ten months in used 30-gallon Maverick whiskey barrels resting within the thick walls of the bank vault below the distillery. The barrel brings forward characteristics of the rum rather than masking them to highlight the sweet notes of honey, brown sugar, vanilla, and citrus peel. The whiskey notes in the barrels bring out a fiesta of flavors that make that glass sing with coconut aromas, caramel, and bourbon spice.Â

An adult, 21 years or older, must be present at the time of delivery to sign for the package. UPS and FedEx will attempt delivery three times before returning the package to the fulfillment
warehouse. In the event a shipment is returned because the customer was not able to sign for the package, the customer will be charged a $20 reship fee.
